Background Story:

This song is simply the story of the Viet Nam war. It’s not an opinion about it or a position on it, only a summary of the events. The title of the song is derived from the bastard usage of Vietnamese phrase “Du Mhan Yhu” meaning “Go fuck yourself”. Used in military circles, esp regarding Murphy’s Law. It is an account of what’s recorded in American history books and what’s been portrayed and high-lighted throughout pop-culture. Again, not an opinion – just a story…

VERSE :

Sent to save

A government collapsing

Fought the Red

But Red was left last standing

Sixty-Five

A year of many dying

Seven-Five

We learned it all meant nothing

Raise the Flag

Three Colors of forefathers

Scars to brag

And Medals saved for mothers

Shoot to Kill

The Jungles filled with slaughter

Nightmares still

of Army helicopters

CHORUS:

Soldiers sing the battle song

Drop the Agent Orange bomb

The chorus heard in Viet Nam is:

Doom On You!!

Disrespect the fighting brave

Unknown Soldier’s empty grave

The one we wish would go away screams:

Doom on You!!

Doom on You

Doom on You

Doom on You…

Soldiers sing the battle song

Drop the Agent Orange bomb

The chorus heard in Viet Nam is:

Doom On You!!

Disrespect the fighting brave

Unknown Soldier’s empty grave

The one we wish would go away screams:

Doom on You!!

Doom on You

Doom on You

Doom on You…
